A Recap of the 2019 Scarecrows on the Square ~ Life in Summerville with Suzy Torres

In case you missed what has become a highly anticipated yearly tradition in downtown Summerville, let’s recap the 2019 Scarecrows on the Square.

Every October, various organizations, schools, businesses, and community members each design and create their own scarecrow display in Hutchinson Square. Last year was the exception when it was moved to an area off of Cedar Street while the square was under revitalization. Each display can be voted on at local retailers and the winner is declared. Hosted by the Junior League of Summerville, this tradition is one that everyone in town looks forward to each year.
