For this month’s feature, we are celebrating a Summerville institution that has served the community for nearly 60 years. Since 1963, James A. Dyal Funeral Home has been a sanctuary of peace and healing for those who have lost a loved one. Even though most of us do not like to think about the end of life, we cannot avoid it. In addition, they offer resources to assist in the healing and grieving process. Most importantly, they help families create life honoring services that are unique to the individual and one that is marked by love. Dyal Funeral Home believes in honoring our military service to our country by assisting military families in planning special services. Staff members deal with all aspects related to a military service, including filing applications for veteran’s benefits, honors, and specific veteran memorial markers.
