Don’t Miss the 45th Annual Flowertown Festival This Weekend!

When the azaleas start blooming and artisans from all over the country descend upon our town you know it’s time once again for the Flowertown Festival! The festival begins Friday, March 31st and runs through Sunday, April 2nd. The hours are 9am to 4pm.

The Flowertown Festival is hosted by the Summerville YMCA and is their main fundraiser for the entire year! The monies raised for the event go to support the health and wellness programs that the YMCA provides.

During this three day festival, it is not unusual for the event to draw upwards of 200,000 people. You read that correctly. The festival is one of the largest in the entire Southeast and was voted into the Top 20 Events by Southeast Tourism.

What can you expect to find at the festival?

  • A sneak preview of our Farmer’s Market which officially runs from April through December. During the festival, it is open on Saturday and Sunday!
  • Lots of games and rides.
  • An assortment of food vendors.
  • Over 200 selected artists.

As always, there is free admission and parking. Rides, games, and food are an additional cost.

There is a special right now for Summerville YMCA members which is good only until Thursday, March 30th! Stop by The Ponds YMCA or Downtown Summerville location to purchase an unlimited ride wristband for the Flowertown Festival to be used on Friday, March 31. Wristbands are on sale now for $10 until Thursday, March 30th at noon.

A word to the wise. This event takes place on Main Street between East Richardson and West Carolina which means you will need to bypass the traffic around that area for a few days.
